What's this? Emily? Getting hugged by a bear? And ENJOYING it? Pretty soon we'll all be calling cats "dog"! Um, anyways, Emily also made GREAT strides this week, not only did she get into the water at the water park, she was learning how to kick and to paddle with her hands while being held on to, and went in the water all by herself up to about chest level. She wanted to be in the pool as much as possible, but didn't quite trust dad to hold on to her, so it was nana and mom that got the bulk of the time with Emily in the pool. At the theme parks, she wanted to hug and kiss every one of these characters, sometimes several times, like with Shamu. To us, that is unheard of, as Emily has been relatively afraid of new things, and especially things like these characters, forever. It's great to see her become a little more open. She still gets scared by loud noises, and Sea World is full of those. Rock concerts are quieter than that darn Shamu show. Literally. It's ridiculous. We can't blame her for being afraid at some of the Sea World shows. And they also don't have free beer anymore, so we probably don't need to go back there any time soon. We can vouch for the Kraken rollercoaster though. That is really fun. Oh, speaking of roller coasters, Emily rode on the kid's rollercoaster SEVERAL times. And also did a bunch of other rides too, we're so proud of her, and she really enjoyed the rides as well. The kids' roller coaster is actually not that tame, so it's really cool. Maybe someday she'll ride Kraken with mom and dad...
