it's about time!
Of course the only recent picture of Emily is a goofy one, but that's
pretty much what she does these days, so that's what she gets posted.
Ben on the other hand, now has 2 teeth, is known as the "smiley" baby
or the "sleepy" baby at ECFE. Too bad that doesn't translate to home,
where he's known as the "needy" baby... Oh, OK, he smiles a lot at
home, too, but he needs his attention. He is also nearly able to sit
on his own (it's about time, he's 7 months old now)! A couple more
days and he should be able to sit and smile at us all. In spite of
Emily being in the "why?" stage, and challenging almost everything,
life with 2 kids has been getting much nicer these days, mainly
because Ben has gotten so much friendlier after getting his teeth.
Needy still, but as long as he's being held or played with, he's very
friendly. He also eats solids - or gels, I guess - Sweet potatoes,
peaches, squash, and his favorite, bananas. We think he might be
getting little tummy aches from pears, but we haven't tried anything
scientific to make sure.

Basically, we've all been sick for the last month or so, with Curt
getting hit the LEAST for a change. Most of what everyone else was
sick with, he had earlier in the season though, so he hasn't been as
sympathetic as he should be (except for the sinus infection... he is
very sympathetic to all the poor saps who got that one)
