Can you say "cheezy?" This is the lovely grin that Emily likes to flash us once in a while. Personally, we find it hilarious, but hope it doesn't last into her grade school years...We think that Emily has learned her first word. She likes to point at things and say "dat." Then when we bring her over to what she pointed at she'll grab it and smile. Now that she can crawl too, when she points and says "that," we say "why don't you go get it, you can do it" and after staring at us blankly for a few seconds she'll turn and crawl and get it herself, laughing all the way. Then last night we asked her to point at different objects in a book and she got several of them right more than once, so she's recognizing the names of objects now too. It's amazing to watch her learn how to interact with her world!
