At the Gymnastics display. They didn't all look this good, but the kids have both made great progress in their jumping around

Some creatures at Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. We stopped overnight at Wisconsin Dells on the way to Chicago (yes, it snowed), kids had a great time at the pool(s). Then the next day we went to Chicago, realized that the drive gets significantly longer the closer you get to Chicago (traffic), and didn't make it to the Museum of Science and Industry (next time...). So we played at the pool in the hotel for a while, had dinner, went to bed, and got to the Shedd close to opening the next day. The kids probably enjoyed the computers they could look up the fish on more than the actual fish, but they had a pretty fine time, until Ben started getting tired, then we had several meltdowns. It didn't help that Ben doesn't sleep well on vacation and he was starting to get his usual hoarse cough (we think from the chlorine in the pools). He's finally getting better a week later.

After the aquarium, we drove back to Wisconsin Dells. Getting out of Chicago on a Saturday evening took us well over an hour, but we didn't have to be on any schedule this time, so it wasn't too big of a deal. I can't imagine dealing with that traffic every day of the week... Stayed overnight at the Wilderness Hotel with all the water slides again, and the kids had a great time. While we were in Wisconsin Dells, Ben kept asking when we were going to Wisconsin Dells. We didn't know what to tell him after a while. Anyways, had a great trip over a 4 day weekend.
