Monkey George is REAL!

Emily found out that Curious "Monkey" George is real! The funny part
was that he kneeled down to give her a hug... and couldn't get up
again. His "handler" tried about 3 different ways to get him to stand
up and finally succeeded. It was a little painful for us adults to
watch though...

In other news, Benjamin is off of the monitor! He got the OK
yesterday. At his last doctors visit he weighed in the 5th %ile, he
was 5th %ile in length, and of course - just like a Schnarr baby
should be - he was 25th %ile in head circumference. All of those are
good because he is gaining ground. He had been below 5th %ile in
weight, and of course those percentiles are measured at his actual
birthdate, so they will be a little skewed low for a preemie.

Emily's a turtle!

Emily got to go to the Children's Museum this last weekend. She even
got to see "Monkey George," and had a great time.

A couple more pictures

Emily says "Ben can't talk right now." And that's one of her shorter
sentences. She's stringing together phrases of 10 or more words now.
That and her ability to put together 30 piece puzzles are the things
that are currently amazing us about her.

Ben is getting bigger and bigger (8 pounds 7oz - or Emily's
birthweight at the last checkup) all the time, and continues to do
well. He's following objects around with his eyes and has much longer
periods of being awake, which would be great if they weren't in the
middle of the night... OK, only one of them was in the middle of the
night, but it felt like a lot! Other than that, he's basically an
infant. He poops and burps and pees a lot, and there are no
indications that will change any time soon.
