Proof at last! Here's the little walker, keeping us busy. She's been walking everywhere now, even at the store. Luckily she's still timid enough that she will follow us around so we don't yet have to worry about her running off. I'm sure that will come soon enough. 

It's about time! Last night, Emily was practicing walking between the stairs and Curt, oh, maybe 2-3 steps. That was good, so Sarah got the video camera to film it, and the DVD was full. Curt took over the video camera and put in a new DVD while Emily practiced walking with Sarah. Then as soon as the film started rolling, Emily took 2 steps toward Sarah and then made a quick 90 degree turn and walked across the room. Then she kept on walking and walking and walking, probably for about 15 minutes. She was thrilled (as were we) that she could get around so fast without mom or dad's finger to hold on to. It looks like she's been walking for weeks the way she goes about it. Guess our theory was right, she was just a little too afraid of letting go even though we knew she could. It's going to be a very busy time... for all of us.

Lots more diapered pics. This is still about as close as we come to walking, except for the two steps between the couch and the ottoman. How 'bout that cheezy grin? We don't see it as much any more but she'll break it out once in a while to get us to laugh.


 

I have just learned that I can blog 4 pictures at a time! Here is Emily in her ducky halloween costume with dad. We took her out trick-or-treating to meet some of the neighbors we haven't met yet. Most of them recognized Curt from him chipping golf balls to the dog, but Emily was new to most of them (at 15 months old... we're way too slow!). Emily was kind of scared at first but after a while she enjoyed reaching into the bowls of candy and grabbing something. Ever the shy one. She came back from the evening with bright rosy red cheeks from the cold and wind. Oops. Bad parents. But she was sooooo cute!
