Emily, Curt and Sarah at Emily's baptism, Oct. 30, 2005.
Emily was a perfect angel at the service, as long as she was being bounced. Boy are my arms tired! Posted by Picasa

What's this? Grandma Schnarr holding Emily and no crying? No screaming? It's a breakthrough! Mark this day in the record books. Posted by Picasa

Somebody's found her thumb! Emily's learning how to put herself back to sleep by sucking on her hands. Only problem is that then she drools all over the place. As of yesterday, she can roll over. Well, let's qualify that... as long as we set her up on her stomach so her arms are underneath her and her head is up, if she tips her big head in the right direction it gives her momentum to roll. Otherwise she just arches her back, wobbles back and forth like a beached whale and starts yelling. It's quite amusing. Except when we have to calm her down afterward... Posted by Picasa

It seems pretty apparent here... dad doesn't know how to dress his daughter. Really though - don't pants make great hats? Posted by Picasa

Curt exists too. Here's the whole family... Posted by Picasa

Emily and Sarah with Emily's great aunt Laverna. Emily did great with everybody around, except when Grandma Schnarr tried to hold her on her shoulder. Then the screaming commenced. It was quickly sated when dad picked her up and only came back when she was hungry. And again when she was hungry. And then again when she was hungry. Posted by Picasa

See, she's not always happy! Posted by Picasa

Emily without her mouth open for a change. Rare photo opportunity... Posted by Picasa

Emily waving hello to everybody (that's the blur on the right). She's pretty happy these days, and has slept throught the night once for us already. Lucky parents! Sarah and I currently have a cold, but Emily has been spared so far. Let's hope it stays that way. Posted by Picasa

Emily and Sarah are singing to each other. Emily is 11 weeks, Sarah of course is 34 years. Posted by Picasa

Emily at 11 weeks. She's found a new best friend, and it looks a lot like a duck! She had her visit with the pediatrician last week and weighed in at 12 lbs, 11oz (90th %ile), is 25" long (>97th %ile) and head circumference of 16" (95th %ile). And she feels like every bit of it. She's gettin' big! Posted by Picasa

Another picture of Emily with her toys so we can show Sarah how to blog! Isn't she just soooooo cute? Posted by Picasa

Here she is at 9 and 1/2 weeks, playing with her toys. It's so fun to be able to interact with her now. She's still learning how to deal with people she doesn't know very well, but gets better and better every day. She even smiled for Sarah's aunt last night. Next stop: not screaming when grandma Schnarr holds her :) We'll try for that as soon as they are back from their latest retirement induced vacation. Posted by Picasa
